The Cheap Russian Stuff
« on: August 20, 2008, 10:39:42 AM »
So I bought an AK of a buddy just for fun. Have around 100 bucks to waste on some ammo. We are not talking the good stuff here. Anyone seen any cheap 7.62X39 on the shelf someplace local?

Will order some bulk stuff later

It was the "military classic" in the little cammo boxes, I asked them and they told me it was the cheapest junk they had, did I miss another stack?

I've had some Wolf ordered for a few weeks now - local vendor keeps saying it's on back-order.  I'm betting it isn't going to show up and I need to cancel the order.  It may already be too late to get the stuff

is 5.50 a box of 62 grain h.p.wolf 223 a good deal.

its the same price for 7.62x39 h.p. wolf also.....

the local store has about 10,000 of each in stock...

anybody else stock piling 7.62x54R for nagants??
i bought 1600 rounds at 1.50 per 20 in 2003

Nothing wrong with it....

AIM surplus has it the cheapest....The AK is designed to eat that stuff up....it's made in the same cold war era Russain arsenals!
Buy it cheap (well...not as cheap as used to be) and stack it deap ;D

Cliff's has some ammo by the front counter, not sure of the price, but the caliber was right.

Is there still an embargo against Wolf's exporter?

I saw lots of Silver and Brown Bear bulk (Barnaul) priced decent (still higher than what I paid this time last year.)
IMHO the stuff from Barnaul is the best of the cheap russian ammo.
