OTA HD Antenna

Silverbullet555:
Was wondering if anyone uses an OTA antenna to receive local HD channels. We don't do cable, but it would be nice to get some local station. If anyone uses one, how about a recommendation on what works for you.

Looking at indoor use since this is not my house. When we buy, I'll put one on a mast if needed.

Indoor antenna's basically suck.

The best is a mast antenna from HD or Lowes, put it in the attic, not on the roof and run the cable to your TV.

The mast antennas work best, they are large but not that expensive and once you are aimed at Bogus Basin you will get ALL the digital channels and then some.

I agree, I tried an indoor antenna and got poor reception.. I put up a seven footer outside, works great!  Not very pretty though..

Hence the attic  ;D especially if your in a single level home, the attic usually is very easy to get around.

The antenna will works through the roof just fine. As long as your not aimed at a metal chimney or something like that.

I have one about the same as the one Brian linked to it pulls in more channels than i use.

I got mine at the local true value hardware store, if i recall correctly i paid about the same price.
