Well it has been a long time coming, but we are relocating to Boise in the next 2 weeks. My wife starts her new job on the 14th of May so it is crunch time.

My job was eliminated late last year so I will be actively looking for work and we will be looking for a house to rent for a while.

Please don't be scared of the fact that I am coming from California. I hate this place. I know when I lived in Nevada it was always frustrating when someone from California moved into the area and then wanted to change it to be like California. That's not me. I want it to be the freedom loving place it is and hope to see it get even more free over time.

Early this year, we started a business called Prepper's eXchange. It is still in it's infancy and has been on hold for a little while as we were trying to figure out where we were going to go. I hope o open a retail store some day with an addition of an FFL in addition to the emergency preparedness side. In the short term I will be adding more 80% lower products for those that want to machine their own lowers.

I am always open on tips of where to live, at least for the short term. The ideal place would have a workshop where we could store our boat and keep the business inventory and machine tools. Living on the outskirts doesn't scare me. My wife will be working in downtown boise if that makes a difference.

If I can't find a place like that then I will get a storage unit or 2 to store the boat and inventory.

The last time I was in Idaho was when I took my dad out to Stanley for a Father's Day fishing trip.

welcome to the hood, brother

Welcome SiverBullet!  Glad you made it.

House rentals here in Boise are somewhat limited because of the housing situation, but I'm sure that you can find something with a little looking.  How much space do you need?  1500 sq. ft. or so?

I think that there will be pretty good interest in your prepper store.

BTW, glad you posted the caveat that you don't want to change Idaho to Cali!

Welcome, drive safe and Idaho will be waiting with open arms.  :)

Welcome,
You will find a great group of people here. One advantage you will have is you are moving when school is getting out, so housing that has been occupied by college students will now be available. I just rented my place out, and it looks like they will be long term renters.
