Burris Tac30 confusion

You didn't say what you were measuring.  Its both:
24mm objective lens, 30mm tube

You're right... and in my wee head of mine I assumed the confusion is coming from exactly that.
It seems some advertisements for said scope state 24 and yet others state 30.
I walked into Sportsmans whorehouse today and sure enough... they had only about a dozen scopes in stock.
BUT... they had tags out for the Burris.  One was 499... that would be the one with the second holo sight riding high This one stated 30mm.  The second tag stated 299 for the 24mm Tac30... Hence... my confusion.

I think cabelas had the xtr in the bargin cave if you want better glass.
Twice as much though.
