Born and raised in Boise/Meridian area, Live in Nampa work in Boise.  I've done some bullseye shooting past couple years, and now looking to get more into practical type shooting, (idpa, ipsc, etc)  Currently have HK usp9 and Taurus/Beretta 92 avail to test out.

Welcome Mike.

Can we infer from your post that you have a Porsche?

We can help with getting you started in practical shooting.  Check out the Shooting Sports subforum, and I think you'll find that on most weekends of the month there is some sort of practical shooting match that you can partake in.  USPSA is the US affiliate of IPSC.

Hope to see you at the range.  Several of the Match Directors are on this forum, so don't suffer in silence if you have questions.  Bottom line, if you own it, you should shoot it.  USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge... its all good.  Either of your pistols are fine.
Life is hard.  It's harder if you're stupid and can't shoot straight.

No Porsche owner, but Porsche/Mercedes Technician...  I've been looking at range calenders, and am going to try to get out to Nampa idpa on 11th or uspsa on the following Sunday.  We'll see, i just loaded some batches up of 9mm i need to go test the function in HK and accuracy.

Welcome to Boise Shooters. There are a lot of competitions around here between Nampa, Emmett, and Parma. Enjoy, and come out to the various competitions, I am sure you will find one or two or more that you will like.
