Topic: Ordered a new rifle for 3-gun

I've loved my Ruger SR556, it is accurate and has yet to have a malfunction. The problem is, both of my shoulders are artificial joints so my arm strength is not the greatest. The Ruger is HEAVY. So, I recently ordered a S&W M&P15 VTAC (http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_766094_-1_757785_757784_757784_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y). I've got a Vortex viper PST on lay-a-way for it and will be ordering up some Dueck Defense sights as well. Just for my leg to heal so that I can get out and shoot.

I have seen the PST scope and have the Razor HD, I am sure you will really like the scope. The Dueck sights are great, I just got a Stag 3g and put them on, it is nice not to have to change scope settings and to have iron sights you can use. Enjoy.

Picked the gun up on Friday. Mounted up Vortex Viper PST 1-4X24 on top of it. The gun shoots very well. I grabbed some old reloads and some of what was in the closet. Was able to shoot 3/4" groups at 100 yds. with Hornady 55gr. fmj ammo. This was not match ammo just the standard stuff. Kewl!
