When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice, for I am a hunter,
And I must have my freedom.

Pet peeve... If you are going to do a custom 1911 don't cheese out on the grip...

If you use a maxwell then use a grip with a flat bottom. The bottom of the grip looks ugly!

That first sig looks nice

I agree change it to a flat bottom grip

Interesting.  Looks like Sig used a similar slide profile for their 1911 that they use on their P-series.  I wonder if they stayed with their external extractor or went with an internal?

YMMV, but my experience with beavertails that are relieved on the sides was not positive.  It made the gun sit deeper in the web of my hand, which is good for a high hold, but it was too high for me and I was getting slide-bite.  STI uses a similar beavertail, and I ended up ditching the ones on my guns for an Ed Brown.  Muy bueno.

The rest of it looks pretty good.  Must be nice to get a manufacturer to make a gun to your specs and then get it named after you.  Sig has their Max, Nighthawk has their Chris Costa...

I know, win your division in ALL 8 Area matches this year (like Max did in Open), and maybe they'll name their next gun The Junkie!  No, scratch that, their public relations folks would have a cow...

Nice pistola (after all, its a 1911)...

I have one of the circa-1990's Colt Mustang Pocket-lites.  I carry it now and then, mainly in the summer when I'm in shorts and T-shirt mode.  I'm guessing the Sig 938 is going to be heavier, but still looks like a nice compact size carry gun.  And in 9mm... that's a plus in more ways than power.  .380 is expensive!
