Greetings, Myself and my wife are avid shooters and hunters in the Boise and Sun Valley areas. (we hunt there every deer season) I introduce us both because she will be jumping on the forum as a member later today (or so I am told) LOL. We live in Boise and are both former Army. I work in law enforcement and my spouse works in healthcare. We have looked around for a local group of avid shooters etc for some time and dabbled in many other areas including cowboy shooting and speed shooting. We also reload 308. 45 ACP. 300 Win mag and 30.06. We hope to soon begin loading 5.56mm Nato as we are burning through ammo in the two M-4's we bought like popcorn.  We both have CCW in Idaho. We have two sons and a daughter (both sons hunt) who are active in the Young Marines which can keep us busy at times.

We look foreward to talking with and perhaphs even meeting some of you some time. Not much else to say beyond anything we can do to help?

Welcome!  I'm new here as well and just getting back into shooting.

My wife works for Dept of Corrections, and she has a close cousin with BPD.  What agency are you with (if you don't mind me asking).

Welcome -

Young Marines? You mean his head fit in the jar??

Sheesh - well we won't hold that against him. You can never tell at that age. He COULD grow out of it!

Glad to have you aboard. Hopefully you'll make it to pizza night and meet a few of the folks. Bring the kids and cruise in!

Be well,

Oh yeah, What can you do? Not give me a ticket if you stop me???? ;D

Boise Of course  :)

Do you know Mark Furniss on BPD?  Or Marie Endecott?  Actually Marie used to work for Ada County - she's now with the prosecutor's office.  They are family.

What about a Steve Young? He used to bring fellow officers everyday when my parents owned a restaurant...

Anyway welcome to the forum!  ;D

That's cool - Mark worked for Ada County and then was a detective with Garden City for a few years before moving to BPD.  Marie does admin stuff, but knows many of the officers (City and County) from being with the county for so long.  She works juvi cases now.

If you are a detective, there's a chance you've spoken with my wife at Corrections - a lot of detectives call her for record checks and files.

Glad to have you here.  Oh, and thanks for the info on the range.  I'm thinking about going out this weekend, so I may give that spot a shot!
