Finally getting around to replying here, it takes a while to catch up on all the posts.

I live here in Boise, married with 2 kids.  Relatively new to firearms, it's been about a year now, and I'm trying to catch up.  I was always interested while growing up but in the Bay Area (please don't hold that against me  ;) ) it's not really normal.  Now my collection is just starting and I'd like to get into gunsmithing at some point to learn more.  I work at BSU which makes it hard to go to events during the day or just after work since I can't carry on or around campus.

Anyhow, just thought I'd chime in.  Hope to meet up with you sometime soon.

Welcome 9Shooter! What part of the Bay Area are you from? I know there are some normal people out there. My wife is from the east bay area, over by Walnut Creek.

Welcome aboard - I have good friends there also - and there are no normal people in the Bay area - or California for that matter!!

Maybe we'll help you be normal (now if someone would just tell me what normal is) ;D

Spent most of my years in Cupertino but before moving here we lived in Los Gatos for a while, up in the hills next to the Lexington reservoir.

Thanks.  The longer I'm here the more normal I feel.  Boise reminds me a lot of where I grew up as a kid before Silicon Valley turned into a teaming mass of multi-national high tech madness that crushes the life out of all who happen to be nearby.
