Glad to find a great bunch of folks active in field of firearms, loading, marksmanship etc.
I used to occasionally hunt almost out the back door when we lived on a ranch for 20 years. Now, in town, w limited time to take off for hunting, interested in target practice, honing long gun & handgun accuracy skills, and learning reloading and acquiring knowledge on the defensive courses available to us in the area.
Have a meager selection of long guns, looking for a 308. Like my 44, but love the 1911. Have always been too busy w work, small business and kiddos to learn to reload, so I have always been a Mr Store-bought ammo fella. My best friend has graciously offered to mentor me, so looking forward to learning how much consistency, tighter groups are results with quality handloads.
Looks like I will be learning considerably from our group. I was very impressed with the knowledgeable and helpful folks last night at pizza. I consider myself blessed to be here.
