I'm sure some things have changed but, until just a few years ago all lower forgings came from about 4 outfits. The name on the side probably doesn't matter as much as we think it does.

Could it be that each manufacture orders by quality from those four casting companies?Noveske orders hi quality, Spikes orders next lower grade, and so on.

So here's a new question. Machined lower vs. a forged lower. I know in almost every other application that machined from solid stock is generally accepted as being higher quality. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
