Giraud Case Trimmer
« on: December 24, 2011, 11:40:53 AM »
Does anyone have or have experience with the Giraud Case Trimmer?  Like to try before dropping $425 on one.

Thanks!

I have one, it's pretty awesome.  Mine is set up for .223 if you want to trim some cases sometime.

I am out of town, perhaps we can set up a trim your .223 and check out a Giraud day sometime.  I plan on going to new years 3 gun if there is going to be electricity.

I have a Lyman power trimmer and it works pretty good. Get the pilots you need and a chamfer tool and away you go. on the back side it has a high speed primer pocket brush. It's cheaper than the one your talking about.

I'd love to see a Giraud timmer!!!! I hear these are the gold standard for trimmer, price included.

Yes there is power at the range, bring it, I'm sure there will be spare 223 laying around we can throw in there and trim  ;D

We can put it in the club house where it's warm, where we will all be drinking coffee/hot cocoa!

I'll bring it, anyone is welcome to try it out but please don't bring 2,000 cases and expect to trim them all because I don't want to sit around for hours.

Never heard of this trimmer before so I went out and found a video on-line showing how to use it. Looks easy and really cool. They showed .223's being trimmed. I assume it uses like a case gage that you set the cartrige into. How does it work with straight wall cases? For the price I think I will stick with my Lyman power trimmer.
