Calling all Charter Arms specialists
« on: December 14, 2011, 01:10:39 PM »
Hi Gang:

Have a nifty little Charter Arms Pathfinder .22 revolver. It was made in the late 70's, 3" barrel, 6 shot, blue. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage, however the tensioner that maintains elevation has fallen out. I assume it's a screw as there's an empty hole in the rear sight ramp, the ramp is mounted on a hinge and moves up and down against spring pressure but there's nothing to maintain the setting once you get it set where you want it. A small spring just above the hammer spring holds the rear in the up position against tension and and there's nothing that moves it back down and locks it in place. I'm assuming the screw is missing?

Charter Arms was no help, Dee says they don't have parts for these older pistols and she sent me to Numrich Gun Parts. Numrich had no parts for it and didn't know where to send me. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not that familiar with Charter Arms and the best source of parts. I've done  a Google search and came up empty. Thanks !

Ronnie

bring it by the shop, gotta see it to really know. I see there is no spring for elevation per my schematic and the elevation IS justa screw. I have tons of screws.
We can hook u up.
