Hunter's Education field day options?
« on: December 10, 2011, 11:57:25 AM »
My wife wants her hunting license but she was 9 months short of being grandfathered in by age.  She's already done the online portion but needs to do a field day to get finished.  The problem is that the only one we know of (part of the course she took online) is booked up until next spring.  Are there other options for getting her officially qualified to get her license?  She'd rather get it done sooner than later.

check the fish and game website, they usually list all the field days in the region.

sometimes they are kinda far though, Burley, Twin falls.

Yeah, that's what we've been looking at but the classes are full.  I was hoping there was another course that wasn't necessarily F&G that would satisfy the requirement.

Send a PM to PV74. He was an Idaho instructor and might know of a closer option.

At one point we were able to do the field day as Instructors but alas we cannot do that anymore. You have to just look on the website and sign up when they have a day scheduled. You can call the regional office and ask about adding a day.
