Fires a 1132 grain projectile. Recoil looks pretty light actually. :sniper1:

thats what i was thinking. when i googled it though some one mentioned that if he can afford to build something custom like this, then he probably can afford a form 1.

fwiw a 1132gr bullet is .16lbs or 2.58 oz. a 168 308 is only  .025lbs.

Yikes, I can think of more pleasant ways to destroy my remaining good shoulder.

1132 gr bullet at up to 1800 fps... 8146 ft•lbs at the muzzle, with a ~ .330 sectional density (equivalent to a 220 gr .308 bullet). Certainly adequate for whitetails, possibly even good enough for elk, assuming assiduous shot placement and limited range  ::)

Cartridge next to a revolver for scale:

You're right, the recoil looks lighter than I'd expect. Of course, one wonders what it would be like without that muzzle brake (shudder)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy sights and thy trigger, they comfort me.

Thank goodness I'm too crazy to go insane

From Firearm Blog:

The inventor believes the rifle is not classified by the BATFE as a destructive because it is a sporting weapon. There is sporting weapons, such as shotguns and big bore double rifles, are exempt, the usual procedure it to obtain a letter from the BATFE stating that the particular weapon is a sporting weapon.

No mention of the Form 1 for making a firearm anywhere, but I hope he has that letter for the DD side of things.  :o
