Depending on the bullet and load you can vary the crimp. For light stuff a tight case to bullet fit will work, you just need to turn the bell back to a straight profile or roll it a bit. For the heavies, a tight fit and a significant roll crimp not only help keep the bullets from walking forward and tying up the cylinder, it helps with more consistent ignition.
