5.8x42mm P.L.A. or 7.62 NATO zombie?

I have been wanting to get another tac rifle and was sure i should get a 7.62 something, but since the Chinese have a standing army that is equal in numbers to any combination of NATO/U.N. armies, I am now wondering if a 5.8 might be a better idea.  What are your thoughts?  Thank you for your time.

For inside 600 yard NATO Zombie kill'in I like a 14" AR-10 with a MILL/MILL1X4 scope loaded with .308-175GR all copper hunting bullets.
It's small and light enough to be portable, accurate enough to put bullets on target out to the effective range of the cartridge and as long as you plan on fighting NATO Zombies here in the U.S.A. you'll be of more use to the friendly force if your rifle is chambered .762/.223 etc.

I say 7.62X51 in a simiauto of your choice and bring on the Zombies.

You'll be able to pick up all the 5.8x42 ChiCom rifles you like from the dead Commies IF they ever set foot on US soil.  So I would recommend 7.62x51 as that and 5.56 will be the most plentiful ammo around when the Zombie apocolypse happens. :)

What was it that Sergeant Major Plumley said in "We Were Soldiers" about drawing a new M16 from supply?
There will be plenty of them laying on the ground or something to that effect.
