Remington 870 Ejector Channel Repair?
« on: October 30, 2011, 06:26:30 PM »
Out at the range today, somehow a corner of the ejector channel broke off. As a result, a fired hull is pressed against the receiver wall by the extractor and the gun won't cycle unless I pull the extractor back and pull the shell out by hand. Is this something I should send back to Remington for repair?

The jam only occurs after being fired and I attempt to cycle out the empty hull.

I would for sure.  If you don't send something like this in to the manufacture they won't know its happening.   ;)

we have sent this problem back to Remington before, fixing the ejector free, refinishing the receiver because its riveted in....200.00.
so, we got some ejectors and rivets and can effect the repair for you  for about 75.00 and will touch up the receiver nicely as well.
Let me know.

Here you go.

Whoops, just realized it was the channel and not the ejector you were talking about.  Must be MIM material I'm guessing?

If the weapon is new you'll be better off contacting Remington. Though I've never personally seen this in any of our 32 870's but they are all Police Magnums.
I'm betting... It's the Express Tactical?
