Lyman 358429

Does anyone happen to have this mold? I just picked up two Smith & Wesson 357s and was hoping to shoot some Keith SWC boolets out of them. But before I drop $70 on a mold, I would like to try them out.

It is a good design.  What model Smiths do you have?  There is a small drawback with this bullet in the N frames.  N frame .357 cylinders are short, so the 358429 has to be crimped on the front driving band rather than the crimp groove.  You can get around that by using 38 cases, but I don't like doing that.  M19/M66/M13's have a longer cylinder, so it is not an issue.

I have two Smith & Wessons, a Model 19 and Model 13.
From my research I learned about the short cylinder issue with the N frames but was just curious about the K frames 357 cylinder length.

Worst case I just load them in 38 brass as +P loads when I eventually do get a Model 27 or 28.

It works perfectly in the K frame Smiths.  How many do you need for a test?

Id like to load up and try at least 50 if that's not too much trouble.
