« on: October 17, 2011, 10:35:40 AM »
Needing a Good Axe and Splitting Maul and would like to know who in the area sells them.
(and no I don't want a Gerber one nor one that costs over $50-60)

Thanks

bought all my axe, Maul and sledge hammer at yard sales ( .50 or a $1 )and buy new handles at D&B .   I really do like fiberglass handles, just get those rubber handle protectors for them.

Not a fan of Fiberglass Handles mysellf, Prefer a good Hickory Handle.

D&B sells hickory also...make sure and buy those rubber protectors for wood also...they really  do work!   My kids 'help' me and that is how I know those protectors work.
