It sounds like a bad igniter. If you're a DIYer, it's an easy fix. If that's what it is, just go to an online appliance repair like
Repair Clinic, plug in your make/model to order the igniter. I did mine and it was pretty easy. Come to think of it, I just called Sears for the part, since our range is a Kenmore. Shoot me a PM if you need 'voice support' ;-)
