A deposit of $75.00 is required for sign up. The deposit will go towards the total cost of the class.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This two and a half day course provides the participant instruction and practical exercises on the fundamentals and principles of Executive Protection (EP), Course includes Introduction to Executive Protection, Organization of a Protection Security Detail, Concentric Rings of Security, Protective Security Formations, Arrivals and Departures, EP Combative, EP shooting skills (Range). This is part one of a three part course. EP 201 and EP 301 are offered separately.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
•   Introduction to the types of security details
•   Positions of the detail when in a vehicle and while moving
•   Live shooting drills tailored for Executive Protection
•   Combative Training for Executive Protections Agents

NOTES
Friday start time is 1800 to 2100 at Ambush Tactical
Saturday 0800 to 1200 will be at the range (TBD)
Saturday 1300 to 1800 will be class and practical exercises.
Sunday 0800 to 1600 will be class and practical exercises.


EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Notebook pen or pencil
Handgun
200 rounds
Concealable Holster - If you do not have one bring what you have.
Magazine pouch single or double
2 Magazines
Concealable Top - Vest, Sport Coat, Camera Vest, Shirt. Your choice whatever you have.
Eye and Ear Protection
If you have Concealable Body Armor and would like to train with it, bring it.


This course requires a minimum number of students. Universal Security & Training reserves the right to cancel any class due to lack of students. All deposits paid will be refunded in the event of a cancelation

Mr. Italiano Owner

Pete Italiano started his career in Nuclear Security in 1985 for the Department of Energy as a Security Police officer, then in 1987 moving to the Special Response Team where he specialized in weapons, tactics, explosive breaching and self-defenses. He took a promotion to Special Response Team (SRT) Team leader at Argonne National laboratories.  Pete then took a job as a lead trainer for the Department of Energy Idaho Training Division where he worked until he was promoted to the Training Unit Manager. During his time with DOE, he was involved in several special programs that took him to Washington, D.C. as a Technical Survey Team Member (special assignment) responsible for conducting assessments of accountability documents, cost assessments and vulnerability assessments for Russian Nuclear facilities and storage areas. (Classified Top Secret)
Pete Italiano was also a member of an elite group of specially chosen and trained personnel to work for the US Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) Presidential Protection Detail (PPD) for the President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai in where he was part of the inner Security Close Protection Detail known as the Karzai Protection detail (KPD).

Pete spent eight years as a team leader and training supervisor for the US. Department of States Anti Terrorism Assistants Program (DS/ATAP) as Part of the MATT Mobile Assistants Training Team and in country programs as a subject matter experts (SME) in Advanced Crisis Response Team (ACRT), Crisis Response Team (CRT), Very Important Person Program (VIPP), Instructor Development Course (IDC) and Preventing Attacks on Soft Target (PAST).  Pete has delivered courses for the Department of State DS/ATAP to various US and Host Nations (HN)  law enforcement and military personnel in Pakistan, Nepal, Indonesia, Colombia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Mexico, Jordan , Brazil, Jamaica, Liberia, Mali and Senegal.

Pete’s most recent job opportunities have been with Tom Dale and Associates; Security and Investigations were he worked for NBC Universal studios performing Executive Protection for principal actor (Ryan Reynolds) in Cape Town S Africa.  Pete has also worked for Warner Brothers performing high threat executive protections in Mexico City, Mexico for executive producer Adam Merims . Working for TDA also took Pete on a Multi mission disaster responds team after the Haitian earthquake of 2010. Missions included Family extraction from Haiti, Locate and Identify remains of high profile ex patriot, and continuing his mission for TDA doing Critical threat Executive Protection (EP) for a High profile physician that included establishing and coordinating security policies and procedure at a Hospital in Porta Prince.

Pete is  sought after for his excellent teaching abilities along with his vast knowledge in the security field where he has received several awards and commendations over the past 27 years.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
   This ten-hour course is on the Use of Force, with classroom presentation, practical exercises along with Self-defense and offensive training. This course will cover the force continuum, mindset, fighting mindset, survival mindset, action reaction concepts, knowing the weapons that you carry and much more.

•   Scenarios that will help you understand the Use of Force and the Force Continuum
•   Showing you how the  Force Continuum works for you
•   Action Reaction Drills
•   Learning what your mindset is during a confrontation and how to make it what you need to win
