Gold is backed by nothing but our faith in it, just like a fiat currency.  It's just a lot easier to inflate a fiat currency.

I dont see what the problem is, we can print more dollars, but not more gold, so dollars are, therefore, better.   ;)

I know how to fix stupid. Let us tell them all that the US government is good for all its debt and all its unfunded liabilities (im not expecting get any medicare when i'm 80, are you?). Then, after we assure everybody that nothing is wrong, there is no need to save your money, no need to buy guns or food or prepare in any way shape or form for any economic troubles, we print trillions and cause hyperinflation. Then all the Obamazombies will starve because they are totally unprepared and don't even know how to put a worm on a hook.

Ye hath no faith in the almighty US dollar? Come on guys, the government is doing what is best for us, you are just too ignorant to realize it. Sit back, pay your taxes, and keep contributing to your 401k's so the banksters can gamble your money and hopefully parlay their winnings (= your losses) into gold. Remember to keep quiet because there is not a lot of time left and we don't want to frighten anyone.
