The wife's S&W M&P9c is almost too much for her to handle (she's a bit recoil-sensitive) so I'm considering other options that would be more comfortable for her.I've read good things about the Ruger LCR, anyone got any good/bad personal experience to input?Thx!...Tomac
if she is recoil sensitive and the M&P 9 is too much, the LCR will be a whole new level of pain. Not even with bunny fart loads will make the LCR less than the m&p.LCR is a great bug gun as it is small & lightweight but those same attributes make it have a decent amount of recoil.
I have a Sig P-238 and several small 1911’s in both single and double stack if you would like to shoot one.I agree with tgibson on the small 1911’s shooting softer than the ultra-sub compacts, my wife and daughter both shoot and carry officers 1911’s in .45ACP and have always preferred them to other small pistols.
Just got back from Cabela's and the wife *really* liked the little P238 over the LCR so guess what we came home with... Tomac
Mine seems to like the environmentally friendly Corbon DPX 80gr bullets!
Just got back from Cabela's and the wife *really* liked the little P238 over the LCR so guess what we came home with... Anywho, many thanks to all who contributed to this thread and her M&P9c is now listed at the Swap Meet if anyone's interested.Thx again!...Tomac
Nice seeing you and your wife there Tomac! Hope she loves the P238. Funny, we both left Cabelas with new guns - and P*38s to boot!
I did pick up the LCR Talo edition but haven't yet been able to fire it. Hope to during the xmas holiday break given I have some time off. Not sure I'll be able to convince my wife to shoot it. SHe's a novie and shot a S & W simialr model and hated it. Too snappy for her. Will report back then.
Cabelas also has some cheep Galco holsters listed for the Kel-Tec and Ruger #STO436 that works well for the little P238.I wrapped mine in Saran Wrap and put it in the wet holster overnight and I'm pleased with the results.
Jim,I have a Colt Pocket 9 that could really use a cheap holster while it waits for it's number to come up at Milt Sparks. Do you think the cheap Galco would fit a P9 with the Saran trick?Pat
we sell LOTS of the Bersa's, never come back, never break down, not too big not too small. great self defense gun.POps
