Spend, spend, spend.......
« on: September 10, 2011, 07:21:01 AM »
This seems to be the buzz around the nations headlines lately.  "Obama Pledging Most Sweeping Debt Reduction Plan of His Presidency".  I have only one question, How much is it going to cost..?  I believe The administration and congress are either ignorant, greedy self-profiteers, or destroying our nation via economic failure....deliberately.

Do not blame on malice what can be explained by stupidity or incompetence.

If they had a real plan the country would have been fiscally destroyed long ago.

I suppose then that would fit in the "ignorant" category.  That's not to say it cannot be coupled with the intent IMO.  The fiscal irresponsibility isn't anything new.  That's been around a long time. If it were an agenda, it would have to be massaged in slowly, take too much too quickly, and resistance would set in. After all, Americans have grown accustom to certain lifestyles and perks.  The Spending is increasing on an exponential scale AKA debt. As people are coming into the awareness of our financial troubles as a nation, the spending and debt are accelerating.  There are allot of "globalists" at the helm at the moment, we've heard their own words on the subject.  Congress has it's share of clueless, but also, it's share of agenda driven engineers.

Therein lays the geneous in their plan... to make it look like stupidity or incompetence and fool the masses.  Like 2big2fail stated... "Americans have grown accustomed to certain lifestyles and perks" and along with that; they are resistant to put up a fight and possibly lose some or all of it.  We have a lot of armchair quarterbacks that talk a good fight but when it comes right down to it... how many are actually going to stand up and say "enough of this shit!", take a stand and hold the govenment accountable for it's actions?

I think that there are enough people that are fed up with the current politicians that if a large group of patriots presented them with some ultimatums they could get enough support to make some real change and get our country back on the right track without bloodshed or ever firing a shoot. The problem is when the politicians refuse the ultimatums and the group is forced to answer the challenge, how do you manage the inner cities when you toss their favorite politician out? They currently riot because their favorite ball team won a game or their favorite thug got jail time or a cop didn’t.

My point is that the anarchy that will ensue as soon as any real push for change is presented would take more than a large group of patriots could manage and possibly more than a well-organized army not to mention the current president signed an executive order allowing foreign armies to help him with any civil disobedience. I’m all for removing these current assholes that are bent on ruining our country but to date I have not heard a plan that deals with any real issues like what happens after they storm the white house?

If enough people are truly done with the current political system and really want change then why can't an independent win  an election? Too many people keep doing the same bs when it comes to election day. Quit voting for the lesser of two evils-you still get evil in the end. Always do what you've always done and you'll always get what you already got! The Tea Party movement should give us all an idea of just how may of us no longer feel represented by our gov't, now if enough of us can vote non partisan candidates into key offices we have a chance of changing things w/o bloodshed. If we continue on with the two party system we are going to lose our freedom to corruption and power brokering.

I'm not referring to a revolution of sorts, I agree with you J Mack that the larger inner cities will riot once all their gooberment hand outs are stopped.  We're not going to be able to turn this around over night and that's for sure.  But those of us that are wide awake and see what's going on need to group together, find the best candidates that will do what is right and get them elected.  Can we do this... I don't know?  Should we do a 10 million man march on DC and protest to have Obama and his cabinet fired... maybe that's what we need to?  I think we could shut down DC and let them know we mean business.

Ah....hmmmm.  I suppose there couldn't be any better time to reflect on the mighty experiment known a "The American experiment".  She was the promise of freedom and liberty never before exersized anywhere on the planet.  Now, 9/11/11, it seems that after 230 years of rich history the laboratory lights are down to the last few light bulbs.
I've been there.  I lived in Delaware for a few years as a teenager, 14- 18.  Traveled at times with friends, other times with family and got around to most of the sites at some time or another.  Washington D.C., Philadelphia Pennsylvania, the Hudson Bay, Statue Island, Manhattan and specifically, WTC.  I remember finishing off a "true" philly cheesesteak stairing straight up the side of the south tower feeling a bit nervous about letting my friends talk me into going to the observation deck on the 110th level roof.  Yea you could do that in "87" for $15.  Tasted that cheesesteak a second time looking down at the street on my hands and knees as the slight breeze at that altitude rocked the tower back and fourth a few feet.  Not fast, but like swells on the ocean might affect a cruise ship.  The experience cannot be forgotten.
Been inside the Capitol, walked (with a tour group) through the cobblestone srtreets of Philly and seen Washington's (general Washington at the time) Washington's quarters, Lincoln Memorial, first congress, and so-on.  The place just seemed old to me at the time but today, I cherish the memories.  P.S. statue island, yea, got a bj by my 17 yo gf in the park behind Miss Liberty herself.  Does it get anymore red blooded American than that!
The tone since then has all changed.  It brings deep sadness to my soul to consider where we are today.  And that the next visit (even jokingly) would be a last resort to restoring the same liberty that has been systematically removed in a continuous flow of laws, regulations, policies, agendas, executive orders, and corruption.  No better place to restore freedom than the very place it all began.  We have come full cycle.

Ya'll are fartin' in a windstorm.
Our form of government as it was formed and intended, has evolved into a monster that, as I said before, is no longer accountable to anyone. Not the people nor the politicians themselves. It is now self-feeding. I forget which founding father said it, but one of them stated way back then that once the people figure out it can give itself free money, it has ended. (Or something to that effect.)
I truely believe we the people have no control anymore.  None.  Sure we can elect "Tea-party" members. They seem to be the latest buzz-word. The problem is our government is on a "auto-pilot".
The true, or I should say actual government we have today is--the media. They form and mold the thought-process of the general population.  Think I'm wrong? Numerous polls showed OVER 70% of the people did not want the health care plan. The media manipulated the entire debate into what we ended up with.
Example: 50 years ago, would anyone have even considered for a moment two guys or two women getting married? Not for a second. The media constantly bombarded the general poplulation with their token homosexual person on every prime time show, starting out with a neighbor or character with a few seconds of air time. Then slowly it moved to main characters, then eventually entire shows. The ol' frog-in-a-pot-of-boiling-water logic.  Then once it was customary to have a homosexual virtually everywhere, that same "acceptance" bled into politics. My point is the media can influence the general population into ANYTHING.
People everywhere are getting money of some sort in the mail, from the gov.  How many of those people are going to do ANYTHING to stop those payments?

I suppose it was nice while it lasted. It can't be fixed.

Last one out, turn the lights off.

Well at least it wasn't "Queer eye for the straight guy".

Sad to say but Bill, Idaho you are correct sir.  Our founding father's knew what could and probably would happen.  Which is why they gaves us the 2nd Amedment.  A 10 million man march on DC, everyone armed to the tooth.  Hangings on the Whitehouse lawn like in the old days.

Maybe the south had it right when they assasinated Lincoln?  If we didn't free the slaves and if we didn't give women the right to vote and numerous other things, would we be better off now?

First off I would like to say that I am not gay :-*. I know only gay people and women watch Dancing With The Stars (uh uh, AR10ER).I think my post was misunderstood as it has been quoted twice. I was emulating the majority of the American population's nonexistent immersion in the problems of our country. The apathetic attitude and the " There's nothing I can do so leave me alone I'm busy!" (watching TV)

I have never watched dancing with the stars, the only stuff I watch on the boob tube, are the history channel, which it is not most of the time, the news, which is just propaganda, but they do make mistakes sometimes, and let out a little real news, and Pastor Prince. ;D
