Anybody else do bountiful baskets?
« on: August 13, 2011, 11:34:56 AM »
Picked mine up a bit ago and well worth $15...plus I picked up an italian basket for $10. If anyone is interested in it check it out. It's well worth the money for fresh fruits and veggies :)

You basically get about $50-60 worth of fruits and veggies for $15. I am trying to help you all out during these great econimical times :)

However, you do have to put the bananas you get into a paper bag for about 6 months to ripen enough to eat.

Ha ha ha...  that's funny, we thought the same thing until we figured out that they aren't bananas.  They're plantains.  Don't eat them without cooking them, (not that anyone would) you'll probably get a belly ache if you do.  We were wondering why they stayed green and solid for so long.  Google is your friend on stuff like that.  They ended up in the compost since we couldn't really find a recipe that popped.

Please reassure the rest of us that when you all get together to sew, you're at least making stuff out of camo material.   ::)

He He, No worries, just playin.  The baskets are a really good value. Certainly much better when compared to grocery store prices. These things have become somewhat popular around toun, the neighbors brought up the basket idea out of nowhere the other day.  I was like "no, never heard of it before, sounds interesting though".  Lied my ass off! Damn you Boise shooters!
