Online.  :)

There's a buffalo bore version, so buffalobore.com or midwayusa.com will carry it.

Are you looking for loaded ammo or components?

.45 Super and .45ACP +P is essentially the same but with the Super you are paying for the trade marked name.
If you're looking for components I have it on good authority that Starline .45 +P brass and Starline .45 Super brass is one and the same but with this advice as all internets advice use due diligence.
For reloading components and recipes I will repost my comments for an earlier post.

Quote:
Start load with HS6;
11.0 gr HS6 - Fed 150 - 185 XTP - OAL 1.20 - Vel 1100 FPS

Start load with Power Pistol;
9.5 gr PP - Fed 150 - 185 XTP - OAL 1.20 - Vel 1047 FPS

Crimp to .467-.468 Max Dia.
Work both loads up carefully and stop at 1300 FPS, you can substitute the 185 gr Hornady XTP for the 185 gr Speer GDHP  anything else start low and work up from there.
I have loaded and shot 230 gr FMJ @ 1050 FPS with my super but I can’t recommend it.
As you know always use .45 Super brass and a gun designed or modified for the super.

I shot this quite a bit back in the early 90's and actually went back to Texas to meet with Ace Hindman to have him build me a pistol; this round impressed me from the beginning when I shot five of seven 8" plates @ 100 yards out of a 5" 1911 at Ace's range.
After Ace passed away his son Garey Hindman took over the .45 super torch and trade marked the name .45 Super effectively killing the round, none of the ammo or gun manufactures wanted to pay the royalties for the marginal performance gains of the Super over the then new .45+P .
I'm guessing you are going to have a hard time finding anything marked .45 Super for this reason and might have to look for old stock or talk to Starline Brass and ask about the deference between 45 AUTO +P @$85.95 per 500 and the 45 SUPER @$100.45 per 500, if rumors are true the trade mark name is the only difference.

Loaded. I just want some for the woods, and I know a steady diet of this stuff will tear things up pretty fast, so I don't really want to load it. ;D

If I want to use factory loaded ammunition in a factory pistol not modified specifically for the .45 super then I would use the Cor-Bon DPX 45 ACP +P 185 Grain Barnes XPB Hollow Point over the Buffalo Bore 45 Super ammunition. I believe with the better bullet design of the Barnes bullet and the reliability of shooting the correct ammo in your pistol the +P ammo will negate any advantage of the 200FPS of the Buffalo Bore .45 super.

How well does that 185 hollow point penetrate?  He did say woods.  I have no idea if that means hunting sidearm, bears, mutant giant zombies, or killer salmon.  But "woods" would imply penetration.  Buffalo Bore does have a 45acp+p 255gr hardcast as well, that would probably penetrate nicely.

Though it'd seem that 45super in certain unmodified guns (e.g. glocks) doesn't have any danger of catastrophic failure.  More like frame fatigue, seriously undersprung, ...  So I question whether "some", as stated, is really a big deal.

I've been tempted to try some in my g30, but I haven't yet seen the point, since I also have a g29.  I keep seeing that the .460 rowland guys have a glock conversion "in the works".  Now that would be a fun boutique caliber.

Especially true  for the heavier bullets!

I will be shooting this out of a USP, and I know it will handle it, but not a steady diet.
