Where do I find a replacement stock?
« on: August 04, 2011, 11:28:02 AM »
Hopefully someone here can help as I'm running out of ideas; I need a stock for a Mossberg model 46B(a) but can't seem to find one anywhere. Currently I have searched the following stores/websites with no luck:
E Gun Parts
Havlin sales
gunstocks.com
gunbroker.com
gunsamerica.com
auctionarms.com
boydsgunstocks.com
Boise Gun Company
ebay.com

I'm just about out of ideas and may have to have the stock I have for it repaired.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

I even checked with Jack First, Nada. You are more than welcome to look thru my stocks, I have  abunch of used stocks here at the shop but you would know what to look for, I can't find a pix of the stock.

This site lists a lot of 46b parts, with "call" next to stocks:
http://www.poppertsgunparts.com/cgi-bin/webdata/webdata_gunparts.cgi?Model=MOSSBERG+MOD+46B&pagenum=2&cgifunction=Search

This one lists a "mossberg 46" stock for $75:

Sorry, that's the limits of my google-fu tonight.  Good luck.

Brownells was a negative, as was popperts. I sent gun-parts.com an email, but I get the feeling it's gonna be a no. I just might take you up on that offer pops, might swing by today or early next week.

If pops doesn't have one, keep watching gunbroker and auction arms.  New stuff appears all the time.  Given the price of the stock versus the gun versus parts, you might also consider buying another one, using the stock from it, and selling the rest of the second one as parts (probably will net a cheaper stock that way, if more hassle.)  I'm assuming there's some sentimental attachment?  I hope so, because it sounds like you're in for a hunt.
