August LRTR Parma Club

…………..one more thing……………you WILL want a sling or the ability to put one on, your rifle during a couple of the stages, especially the tower stage. ng

Subject: August 5th & 6th LRTR

Gentlepersons…………

The summer LRTR is fast approaching. In fact summer is nearly 2/3rds over. Wow does time fly.

Please forward this to anyone that might be interested in shooting this match.

Match fee is $30.00. If you help set-up on Friday match fee is $15.00. Set up will commence at 1pm on Friday. Please let me know if you plan on helping on Friday.

Also, please RSVP  the match. As is normal for our matches this is a TEAM event with both persons having opportunity to be the shooter and the spotter. There will be no spotter rifle targets this year. Everything will be fired with your standard LRTR rifle. You may shoot more than one rifle if you so desire.

Bring 100 rounds. I expect to shoot 60 to 75 scoring shots at least…………..Oh…..bring a handgun, we are incorporating a sidearm event as part of one of the stages. 25 Rounds pistol...

Signup will be 0800 to 0900. We will commence shooting at 0900

Expect 8 stages. There will be some KD precision rifle on paper and we will be climbing the tower. If we do what I hope to do off the tower you will find it most interesting………that’s all for now on that. Bring your compass and calculator and a pen and pencil. There will be some map work, and some GPS work. Distance will be 900 yards and under. Nothing over 900 yards, at least by much anyway. Expect some crawling, and some climbing, and some odd ball situations……….

Two man  teams will be squad-ed into 4 or 6 man squads.

Bring your own food, snacks and water, although water, Gatorade and pop is available at a nominal price at  the  range.

We plan on having a fun shoot. Hope to see you all there.

Neill and Rocky

Will mildot ranging be required?
I took the class on it but never praticed it.

This would be great practice!

Since everyone is in squads of 4 or 6, everyone shares info, methods, etc.
Just need to know what scope magnification is your scopes true mils

size of target(in yards) times 1,000 divided by target size in mils equals distance to target in yards

This is a handy little chart you can print and take to the shoot.

Just match up the image size in mils to the target size in inches.
