I hope that if enough people read this we can find the perp! I have had a priceless chest stolen right out of a basement in a house my wife and I were moving out of. It is all cedar with a semi gloss finish in near perfect condition. However, It's not the chest that is the concern, it's the contents! Our entire family heritage, history, children's keepsakes and heirlooms, wedding collection of photographs, personal items and so-on is the reason for the $500 reward if returned. All things inside are non-replaceable, and in many cases, everything that exists many times over. Add another $1,000 if it's returned complete and the perp is charged.
The chest is 6' long, 18"deep, and 30" tall. It weighs approx 180 pounds and is red cedar with a latch in front. Picked up and carried up stairs from the basement, it would have been a 2 person job. And from our remote location, a van, truck, or trailer would have been necessary from the house at 9160 Chinden blvd between Star and Can-Ada road. Oddly, out of all the remnants that were remaining during the move (and allot of that has real street value) the chest was the only thing removed out of the whole house. -no worries, the guns were all with me-
The theft happened the night of Monday the 25Th through Wednesday morning the 27Th. Thanks for keeping an eye out everyone, this chest- priceless.
