Hola, thanks for letting me into the elite club, I've been wondering where you've all been hiding since 7th grade.

Here's my story, definitely looking for a 7.62 rifle for the zombie apocalypse, but am having a HARD time figuring out which one!! Armalite, DPMS, blah blah blah!  Dang I wish someone would make up my mind for me already!

If I had tons of disposable, I'd probably start with a SCAR-H for appetizers, a REPR for my main course, and then have an LMT for dessert.  And a Kaizer KR7 as a bedtime snack.  But I don't.  And I'm trying to get double the fun so my wife can join in the fun when the balloon goes up.

Other than that- we just moved to town from Poky, both work at St. Al's, and I'm actually not chubby, but who's asking anyways, creeps.

I love sarcasm.  Hope I don't offend anyone.  If you have any great advice for me I'd love to hear it.

Well crap, as long as we're on the subject (this is really cathartic for me after having spent what seems like a bazillion hours researching) --

I'm pretty interested in a side charger like the Kaizer or a ASA, Fulton Armory, etc.

Absolutely must be able to hit a clay pigeon at 1000 yards, consistently!

Unrelated to gun search: I've been reading JWR and feeling survivalblog-ish for a little under a year.  Also just starting to work my way through ldslastdays.com, cause you know being from SE Idaho that automatically makes me a prepper/member.  Just finished school in December and feeling quite lucky to have a job (nurse, yeah I know, a male nurse, but it's just a stepping stone right?).

Did you know that LAR Grizzly Mfg. in West Jordan, UT makes a TON of companies AR's?  Just found that out today out at Alpha-Omega, and I called LAR and verified that as well.

Anybody have an M1A they shoot 1000 yds. with on a regular basis?

A gas gun?  1000 yards?  Gotta be a damn good shooter to pull that off  I think you'll be hard pressed to find a gun that will do that consistently. Might look into a .260 or 6.5. Just sayin'.
Adios
