Ok, could be faked as some on the source forum claim, but found evidence at one other site that may corroborate Glock producing a 1911.  Anyone else hear rumors?  Could finally put an end to all the flame wars :evilgrin:

When I think Glock, I don't think of finely tuned components hand fit.  I think mass produced McDonalds handguns - but the price is right, the experience is the same no matter which one you go to, and it sure isn't fine dining but it gets the job done.  The feature set listed on the webpage is half crazy:

-Models from a "GI" to Rails/Moulded Light and Lasers.
-Built in RFID for Polizei/.mil   ???
-Integral Camera  ::)
-Some models are 90%+ 1911 compatible
-Proprietary fire control group  :-X
-Integral Suppressor on Pol/Mil models
-Lube Free Ceramic frame and slide inserts within polymer frame.
-Snap on polymer slide top covers available for various sight heights and options
-Standard recoil system
-Calibers of 45 acp, 38 super and various 9MM's.
-Expect the G50(50 cal) in the 1911 format using a ,50 caliber round and subcaliber sabot rounds, testing shows a  115 gr 9mm sabot at 2700 FPS.
-Gen. 4 and 5 backstraps on some models.  :'(

its a fake all glocks are fake, most newer guns are fake. real guns are made of wood and steel  ;D
