Hello to everyone here..  Thanks for the welcome..

I am long-time Oregon resident and looking to relocate to either the Boise area or somewhere else in Idaho. I know Idaho is a beautiful state just like Oregon, but seems to be a bit more gun-friendly and be a bit more conservative, at least than the Western side of ORegon that I live.  Anyhow, I have been growing tired of both the high cost of living and the attitudes of all the outsiders that have settled here and thinking about going East.  Somehow or other I think Boise would be a city more to my liking than Portland.

I am a software developer and trying to launch my own Cloud-style web-based software business.  Basically, I spent most of my time working, but really have had a great desire to spend more time at the range shooting my guns.  I'm not the most experienced shooter, but I really love guns and want to improve my skills.  I'm hoping I could meet some people in Idaho to go shooting with sometime and get to experience all the beauty and good shooting amenities the state has to offer.   I've got a nice little variety of guns, but sadly, due to lack of finances a few of them are just going to collect dust for a while.  For the most part I'm hoping to improve my skills shooting my ARs and handguns.

I'm eager to check out more of the forum.  And I appreciate the information people have given me already on my first post. It has been helpful.   

As for me , I live in the Columbia Gorge now, so I am not too far from Idaho.  I've lived all over Oregon, everywhere from SOuthern Oregon, Oregon Coast, Bend and PDX.

Hi Zona..  I too am very sorry..  I think I overreacted myself because I was so stressed out from my move.  Also, I was overly paranoid, because the guy I visited at my local gun store (literally, down the street) told me that the area was infested with dangerous nazis.  After spending a bit more time here, I realize the guy is full of S**T and have since brushed away my worries.  Between the move and the goofball at the gun store, I was just too high strung.  It feels very nice to be done with all that.  I can breathe again.

I'm all settled in and would be happy to go shooting with ya and scarf down a couple Quarter Pounders and some Milk Shakes.. Gosh, that will bring back some wonderful childhood memories I had..

BTW.. For now on I will reserve my criticisms for Burger King instead of McDonalds
