sweet finds
« on: February 27, 2007, 08:45:47 PM »
Had to kill 45 min btw. jobs today so I stopped in at Boise Gun.

Digging around in a greasy old cardbord box over by the shotguns I found a plastic bag w/ some mags inside.  My spidey senses piqued, what's this? I thought as I split the tape with my fingernail.

Inside was 5 brand new COLT 30rd. PREBAN (no date on body) magazines.  They are dry film lube/green followers  Nothing special about them to us in ID but I thought Someone in a Ban state might want them?

$20 each but I bought them for what they were.

I saw those 10pk D&H mags, but they say "noban" and then "cannot ship to restricted states".

Does that mean I can't pass these along to someone there.  No biggie, I'll keep them If I can't

Technically no... but who's going to know?  States like NY, NJ, CA that have an AWB have grandfathered weapons and high cap mags that had already been in state when the ban went into effect.  Shipping those mags to say CA or NY is a criminal charge in that state... but again who's going to know?  The post office or UPS isn't going to monitor what you send and they have no legal jurisdiction to even bother to check.
