Swarm attacks
« on: June 16, 2011, 06:24:44 PM »
I was sitting down at the computer tonight to check out the forum when I noticed a bee had come in the open front door. I got up to get the fly swatter and as I looked out the open front door there was a huge swarm of bees coming at the door. I quickly slammed the door shut. I went over to the window to see what was going on outside and saw two of my dogs were out in the swarm. I quickly got them in the house without to many bees coming in. Now I have this monster ball of bees hanging in my peach tree.
I believe in gun control. Without control you are just spraying lead downrange.

Wow... fresh honey? ;) You're lucky you shut the door after the scouts.  A couple decades ago I was driving along and had a bee ping off my arm that was out the open window.  Then another went off my windshield.  Before I could do anything, the swarm followed and went in through both open side windows and ended up in the back of my hatchback.  All I could do was pull over, open it up. and wait till they left. :-\

There are local beekeepers that would love to come over and take them.  ;)
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

WE talked to a local bee keeper and he said they will probably move on in the next day or two, and if they don't to call him back and he will come get them. We are waiting to see if they leave, but if a bee keeper wants them they can have them.
