When the last buffalo falls on the plains,

Looking good! Range report? Can't wait to shoot it. ::)

nice ;D
specs?

Ok the top one is a;
STI frame, needs to be blued
Caspian slide, Stainless
Storm lake barrel and bushing, 10mm
10-8 rear sight
Harrison slide stop
Ed Brown mainspring housing.

The bottom one is a;
Essex frame(next time will use a Caspian or Wilson Combat but it worked out ok)
Caspian slide with "Bearcoat"
Shuemann AET Barrel, 45acp
Alumagrips from gungrips.net
Yost-Bonitz rear site
10-8 mag catch
S&A mainspring housing
Wilson mag well

Took the top one out to the range earlier.  Need to work on the throat a little more cuz feeding wasn't all that hot.  It put 40 rounds in a 4" circle at 25 yards with HSM 180grn fmj ammo.  Would rather see it at 2.5 or 3".  Maybe different ammo can help that out a little.

Just about have the throat squared away.  Went out to the range this afternoon and put another 50 rounds through it.  Had about 8 rounds that didn’t feed all the way into the chamber but at least they are all feeding and not getting hung up on the ramp.  A little more time polishing and it should be good to go.  Then I can start looking for a load it likes.   ;D

WOW...................... :eek:
That sure looks good!
I’ve been debating painting my CCW SVI the color of a fat white guy belly so it conceals better and I think you just talked me into it.
Thanks, looking forward to more pictures.

The crack comment reminded me of a story that I heard about on the GunDudes podcast.

Nice looking stuff, looks like you need to fit your lower barrel lugs a bit more so your slide closes all the way, gotta be careful not to break your slide stop shaft if you don't. IMHO

Yeah I was looking at that after I took the pick and it's just still a little tight.  If handel it like a baby then it still does that.  Guess I just need to shoot it some more.   ;)

I forgot to add that since the birth of the critter it has changed from a 10mm to a 40 S&W.  It shoots Federal HST 165grn in about a 2.5" group at 25 yards off of sandbags.
