This is the difference between Chicken Salad and Chicken Excrement….

…this is also the difference between a patriot and a prevaricating, egomaniac community organizer….

George W. Bush speech after capture of Saddam:

The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force.  Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate 'em.

Barack Obama speech after killing of bin Laden:

And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan.  And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad,Pakistan .

As much as I hate to say this:

Even though no one more than I disagrees with what our current President has (and has not) done, and ever since he took office it seems as if everything he has touched has gotten worse.   Like it or not, he still is our elected president. I have probably stated on this (and other) websites my utter disgust with how things have turned out based on his decisions,  but he is due the respect due to his position.
We all can say what we want about how our lives are affected by him and his administration, but we should refrain from any name-calling.
  I'm just sayin'.

(And BTW, this particular comparison appears to be an accurate example of the difference between these two Presidents.)
Has anyone seen the recent youtube video of Mr. Bush and his wife greeting troops as they walked off a plane, returning from overseas?  It'll make you proud.

I respect you bill, because you're an honest man.  I have no respect for the current president or the administration however, because they're not.  Respect, in my book, is something that's earned and not a right by whatever position one may hold.  If I were ever to meet him in person, I would be "courteous" but still have no respect.  This person does not represent American interests whatsoever. IMO.  Others may argue he has an agenda to pound the final nails into the coffin of the republic as we descend towards global governance under his direction.  - just sayin-
I DON'T RECALL READING ANYTHING IN 2A THAT EVEN SOMEWHAT RESEMBLES THE GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS FOR SPORTING OR HUNTING PURPOSES!  that's just a bonus!

+1.  What I respect are the principles this country was founded on, and the ideals behind the rule of law that established it.  I respect the sacrifices of those who have given their all to uphold those ideals.  I cannot respect someone who appears to be doing their best to undo all that.  Such a person does not deserve it.  To me, giving respect where it isn't due only aids and abets what he is doing by shielding him from accountability.  He certainly doesn't respect us.

I respect the office of the POTUS, but not the person who occupies it.

I will stand in respect for the office, I will will/have shook his hand for the office/position that he is in.

But, I will vote him out at the first opportunity I have and loose no sleep.
