Went and saw the 2:30 re-enactment - it was pretty good. They had Normandy-beach type obstacles set up and two guns set up (one was a pac-75 gun the other gun I did not see as close) and 8-12 Germans waiting for the invasion. A few minutes go by and the Americans arrive in 3 jeeps - one towing a pac-75. The Germans open fire with the guns - lots of smoke and noise - you can feel the pressure wave on your chest. The Americans pile out of the jeeps - open fire with M1's and a Thompson and set up the pac 75 gun and fire back. The forward Germans successfully withdraw - but the American gun takes out one of the German guns (some kind of pyrotecnic projector was near the gun simulating explosions) a M1 grenade launcher lobbed  a few (rubber) grenades - one landed near a German - one landed not ten feet in front of where I was sitting. (BTW you want to be in the bleachers for this show - they looked like the best seats.) An American is hit - a medic is called and he is patched up. The Americans rush the German right and gain entry to the German positions - the last German gun is knocked out  by the American gun. The German center is hit on two sides with Thompson, 1911, and (very loud) shot gun fire. One German surrenders. The last German pretends to surrender, but pulls a hidden Luger - but is cut down by too many guns to count. The German prisoner attempts to snatch up a gun but is also cut down - the position is secure.

Local collectors had brought down a WWII Halftrack (30 cal browning machine gun), the 3 jeeps ( at least one also had a 30 cal browning machine gun) , another vehicle I did not get at look at ( after the 2:30 show - the place cleared out pretty fast I did not get a chance to see all the vehicles.) Inside the museum were the permanent displays that now include a P-23 WWII training plane -  a Breda Machine Gun, a Type 53 Chinese Machine Gun, a German MG-34 machine gun. For the show, the local Machine Gun club (IAWCA) had a display with WWII small arms including an German MG-42, a 30 cal browning machine gun M1919a4 and a M1917.

It was a good show and free (donations accepted).

I forgot to say the Germans had Mausers and 2 MP-40's - the one that I saw firing kept jamming all the time so it was - rat-ta-tat-tat - &^%$%#%#& - rat-ah-tat-tat.

There was also at least one M1 Carbine on the US side - it made a distinctive sound when fired.
