Ham Radio Test
« on: February 25, 2007, 08:59:48 PM »
Today I'll be passing my Ham Radio test (tech).  I might get out and shoot after.

Spiff and JR might also be taking the test.  If you want to join us let me know.

ETA: Passsed Technician!  Spiff and I are going back for the General test.

You took it yesterday? Thought we were taking it next Saturday.

Don't give me this:  ::),  your post was misleading and you know it. You should have said "Hey on March 03 I'm going to pass the test!", or some such.

::)   ;D  It made perfect sense to me.  I figured most people would see the event through the calendar and not through the event forum.  Or they'd be able to figure it out.   :nutkick:

KG4ESX here...

Let me know your callsign when you get one and I will throw my 2 meter in the truck.
2 meter should work great out in the desert.

I need to go for my general or extra class license. Hopefully I will get it by this summer, so I can do some mars stuff when I get to Iraq (I hope they have a MARS station where I am going).

HF is where all the fun is at. On 20 meters you can easily go world wide on less than 100 watts.

OK...

I want my General Class License.

Who were your VE's?
I need to take the test before 30 June..that's when the question pool changes and supposedly becomes more difficult.

Bunch of guys I did not know, I think there were 5 of them. The VE listed was Douglas Rich.

I'm going to take it next month (the 7th I believe). Been studying for it since last Sunday off and on.
