Looking for deployed troops
« on: March 08, 2011, 06:57:59 PM »
I met a women at the grocery today that is a member of a local VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She said they send goodie boxes to troops but are having trouble getting addresses to send them to. Have to have a name and address, they just can't be sent to any soldier at an APO address. If you know someone that is deployed that could use goodies, toiletries, and just a package that would let them know that people at home do care PM me with name and address and I will get it to her group.

I have names and addresses but can not give them out.  However, I'm more than happy to take the package and ship it on.  I'll cover the shipping expenses.
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

Jeff, I will talk to the ladies about that. She was saying that the shipping was $60.00 to $70.00 per time. If you pay shipping that's extra money they could spend on goodies. Can you give names so they know men or women and can mark the boxes accordingly?

I'll ask if I can give out names. They are all men in the 116th in Iraq.

Thanks guys. I will attend their next meeting in April. I will give them the information then. Thanks for your help. I can't guarantee how soon they will send items but she was shopping for stuff when I met her.
