Long Rang Rifle training
« on: February 16, 2011, 09:54:11 PM »
anyone know of any long distance training here in Idaho? Or even a group or club to join so I can get some real practice and pointers? I know there's no replacement for trigger time, but some good technique, and someone to spot for me would be nice.

the Practical Precision matches at Parma have been great training for me!  Multiple positions, varying distances, and some really small targets make for a very challenging match!

Cheapest Practice/Training available is .22LRTR.
Shoot .22 rimfire out to 300 yards once a month at Parma.
(.22 Long Rifle, no .22 magnums)

120 rounds scored per match
Check the Parma calendar

Only equipment upgrade people need generally is a scope with mil-dots and enough adjustment.
Wal-Mart has one for $69, Tasco has one for $75.
Other than that just need ammo.

The up coming LRTR at Parma Club is planning to have some training at its match via
speaking to MD on the phone earlier this week......
The shoot is planned the 5th and 6th of August as for the class portion to be announced
later so we need to see how many are interested as to the up date of training........
