Got Clothing??? 10% price increase is coming
« on: February 14, 2011, 12:00:55 PM »

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110214/ap_on_re_us/us_clothing_prices

Yard sales, pawn shops, Goodwill, thrift stores...

Start buying ahead...for your children shoes are important.

Good quality durable clothing, not the crap in the mall that is "the look" for the upcoming season!

talk to your wife and kids....start making a larger percentage oif your buying clothing fund going to durable clothing. Ease them into it, if they aren't on board.

REI also has a "garage sale" every once in a while...you find good stuff there also...returned items, lots of them in perfect condition. Might be missing a button ot a shoe someone didn't like, still brand new.

This keeps up, in the near furture all your mone is going to be spent on keeping bills paid, heat and gas in the car. Might want to refocus your spending NOW!

It's just part of BO's master plan. He said that under his plan, that energy prices would sky rocket. And with that everything else will also. That is in addition to the increasing prices that will come from devaluing our dollar.

But, don't worry BO has got you covered. I'm sure that he'll help pay for your food and gas.

+1. Yeah, so the wife and I are stocking up now on frozen/canned vegetables, 5-gallon refillable water jugs, several gas containers, and bulk cotton and fleece at the fabric stores.  (And, of course, ammo!)

Just tonight, I saw this KTVB video describing how food prices in Idaho (and everywhere) will rise considerably:  http://www.ktvb.com/news/Produce-prices-on-the-rise-in-Idaho-116196239.html.

Check out the price increase, for example, of zucchini: nearly 200% !

Great, the $5 Tshirts at Wally World are now going to be $5.50, I wonder whose going to make the extra money.  :sarcon:

Heard a moron on the radio yesterday, saying that a 10% hike in a $20 pair of jeans would be too much and they would stop buying them. Really? $22 instead of $20?

Personally, I think Walmart has driven the price of clothing down to an unreasonable over the last few years, and the increase in price is really just a leveling of the market back to a norm.

That's just my SWAG opinion, and I have nothing to back it up.

But Orange juice, man I love my OJ... what is this Trading Places? Fortunately Zucchini grows like weeds in my back yard, I don't think we have ever paid for zucchini... and it freezes for use in winter!
