Talk at the last one was that they would hold some type of class a week or two prior to this one for newbs and that would be their golden ticket.

This will be open to new people. If you want to put them on your team.
Spoke to Match director and hes ok with it, if you are ok with it to put them on your team.
Only thing is the amount of teams need to be held down....
Early contact is important so teams can be limited......

200 rilfe
100 pistol
is the minimum PER shooter
so x4 for a squad

300 rifle
150 pistol
is reccomended so you don't run out

more if you end up shooting on more than 1 squad

Really ?? 300 rounds of rifle and 150 of pistol would be 10-15 magazines for each firearm ?? I have shot several of these in the past and have generally needed less than half that .

Well.... yeah, some folks can't shoot so good.
(edit, so they are going to need more than 200 rifle and 100 pistol)

One can always take ammo home.

The round count is high but in contact with match director he say you are good to go and if done right some teams may get to shoot twice.....
Past shoots have shot All of the ammo and part of team members ammo because his rifle went down
another time members scope was off so its your call........

Gentlemen and others………….whatever that might be.

We are moving the Patrol shoot due to some conflicts.  The date will be the 19th of March.

Set up will commence on Friday the 18th at 1PM. Remember we will be on Daylight Saving Time by this date.

Signup for the actual shoot will start at 0900 on Saturday.

We will be using a match plan put forth by one of our shooters, RGinIdaho. It will be challenging and a lot of fun. This will be run as a TWO MAN SNIPER TEAM. And two,  TWO MAN SQUADS. The three teams will all be connected via radio comms, with each team starting in different locations, with all teams working towards a “full team extraction point”. Movement will have to be corridinated between teams. The snipers will use their sniper or DM rifles AND will be required to have a side arm each and their assault rifle. The sniper  teams will be moving probably as much if not more than the assault squads. One rifle squad will need a DM on the team, the other squad will need a shotgunner on the team and will be required to carry that weapon as well as their personal assault rifle. The DM can carry a DM rifle only if he has that weapon available to him. Both  assault    teams will need sidearms as part of their  gear.

Standard patrol shoot rules apply. You have to carry all you bring, you cannot leave weapons, ammo, mags or buddies bodies behind. Carry it in……carry it out. Cover has to be used,   crawled over  or under shot around and over and under and you can expect to get dirty………….standard  patrol team t security will be required and if not followed  a time penalty will be assessed. J

Buz  has prepared an additional 80 plus steel KD plates……..it is a secret where they came from……….as well as some new sniper targets. There will also be some new targets you have never seen before……….to see them you have to show up. There will be a lot of shootin and scooting…………… J

This will be all  done on foot. No ATVs, trucks or tracks……………..

I need RSVPs so we can plan for the number of shooters and teams. If you have a team or preference on who you  want to squad with please let me know. Dress for the weather and bring you lunch. Remember this shoot is a all day deal and everyone will be  busy setting, resetting, scoring, ROing etc……..

RSVP is to Neill at njg308@fmtc.com

If you don't know Neill, tell him your responding to the post on Boise Shooters so he know how you heard about it...
