Home defense, CQB, long range precision, shit hits the fan.... Oh and zombies...

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice, for I am a hunter,
And I must have my freedom.

Just buy a PWS (Primary Weapons Systems) piston gun. Mine runs like a top, is pretty damn accurate, and they're a local company. Problem Solved

Ill second that opinion. With a complete gun you get the rifle, Magpul Mbus's, Magpul rail covers, and one P-mag, where as all the other companies ar all about add-ons. They shoot well, with very little maintenance.

define what you want it to do for you

define the mission

ect.

that being said you should probably get one in 5.56 it's easier to find ammo that way...insert rimshot/take a bow smiley here.

I'd say go look and handle ARs and test fire (rent at Impact Guns). Then start forming a plan of what you want it for. Spend as much time as you need defining your needs and budget then ask more specific questions here.

Good luck and have fun!

much good info. thank you!!!
intended uses: yes, home defense, cqb, shit hit fan.
i like the 'go get parts' idea as well as test fire ideas. test fire probably first.
will get back when i get going on it.
