Thanks guys. My son and I did make it up there and met a couple guys. I'm terrible with names (sorry) but one was a new guy and the other said he goes up there every week. I plan on getting up there another Thursday soon.
Not much to tell about myself. My son and I just moved here right before Thanksgiving. I grew up here, went to Collister, Cole, Fairmont and Meridian Jr High and High until my Junior year. I've lived or worked in Oregon, California, Idaho, Colorado, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas and spent the last ten years in Florida. I was in the Army Reserve for a couple years and then went active duty in the Marine Corps.
I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade and pretty much work on corporate jets. I enjoy shooting, plinking and targets and my weapons of choice are .45's and AR-15's (especially in other calibers). I ventured into the Form 4 stuff a couple years ago and built my first SBR, an AR-15 in 6.8 SPC. I also have a .50 Beowulf I enjoy shooting when I can afford it and find ammo. I recently entered the .308 field with a Springfield SOCOM 16 and a LaRue OSR.
Right now my son and I are staying with my sister until I can wrap things up in Florida. I'm extremely happy to be back in Idaho and can't wait for this summer to get my son camping, hiking and fishing up in the mountains. He was born at (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC and he lived in Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana and Florida so Idaho is a pretty big change for him. So far he likes it.
