Anyone have a marlin papoose .22 or shot one? Are they any good? Was thinking of getting one just for out backpacking to plink with. Any thoughts?

Bump out of curiosity. I was looking at the papoose before I got my 597, thinking a backpacking .22 would be nice.

overlooking the 10/22, you could also compare it against the taurus model 62. pump action/tube fed/ breakdown
can get it in stainless. might get one for my boy as his first .22

One of my good friends has had a Papoose for damn near 20 years . Pretty kick butt little truck gun , just slide it under the seat with a box or 2 of ammo and your good to go
