i am upping my game some got target dots on the wall and alot of dry fire
Since I am an unclassified shooter in any gun game, what class should I shoot in? Or how does one go about figuring that.
is it going to be 10rnds in the pistol mags agin this year?
last question and I will quit buggin you guys. What class will a SMG or sub-machinegun fall in. thanks
kaen3e, I will vouch for you. Expert class for you.
are competitors gonna need a holster for their Pistol on this one or will yo be shooting from low ready ?
Thanks Ron and Travis for the compliment. I have seen the 3gun plate rack races but had a couple of my customers wanting to play and had only attended the IAWCA PSS and asked if that was the format. Soooo I needed a little clarification. I will see what I can do to scrounge up a non-fullauto rifle.
I am really interested in this!! I have not had a chance to be in any type of competition shoot, I have a rifle and shotgun, my only handgun is .22 lr, are there any caliber restrictions?? I have never even been to an official range to shoot is this a good competition for a total beginner to be in or should I wait for something else?
Here is the official announcement!!Who: All skill levels and anyone who wants to shoot three gun...oh yea...you have to be willing to have a good time. What: Fourth annual MGM NYD MOM 3GWhen: Jan 1 08:00 sign up/set up 09:00 shootingWhere: Parma Rod and Gun clubWhy: Loads of fun of course!!Additional details: $20 entry free with 100% cash payback to top 33% in three divisions. Beginner, intermediate, and expert.Bring whatever guns you want. Shotguns and pistols with comps and/or red dots will be handicapped one plate. Basically, what this means is if you are running a red dot and/or comp, you'll have to shoot one additional plate than the guy shooting irons.Rifles with RDS's or irons will receive a two plate handicap.Rifle targets will be 6" or 8" plates at about 100y. Shotgun and pistol targets will be plate racks at 10-12 yards.Depending on how many people we have show up, I'll set up two courses of fire. Hopefully we'll be out of there by 15:00. Let me know if you have any questions.Adios,TG
Hey Tgibson thanks for the offer, I will respectfully decline. I am always a bit nervous borrowing guns, and with a pistol I have never fired I probably couldn't hit the broad side of barn anyway. It is a very generous offer and just supports my desire to get more involved with the local shooting events knowing that there are great people who are as supportive as you and Jaggy13 have been to someone you haven't even met yet!Now I have an even better reason to get a new pistol when the tax return gets in. Are there restrictions on barrel length? I would really like a glock 34.Also it seems that most here have an AR for their rifle, I have a M14 are they accepted?I hope to come out and watch the shoot and get some ideas on where I need to start practicing. Thanks againRob
Yup, Bill took 2nd place in Intermediate. I was third, which means I get to stay in Intermediate next year! Top 2 of each class bump up, right? Great match, awesome chilli, and thanks to MGM for hosting!
I'm good with that! I'm thinking of shooting a revolver, a pump SG, and iron sighted rifle and dropping back to intermediate class. Is that doable? LOL!Adios,TG
