That's freakin' cool!  Gonna have to try making one.  Might even adapt the idea for making camp lanterns, something like a tiki torch.  There are videos out there for canadian (or swedish) log candles.

Hmmm,

Thanks for the video and link!  After thinking about it, it is simply a different version of the rocket stove that we have talked about on this forum.  It has a insulated chimney and an air inlet on the side.  The difference being that the stove itself burns.  Actually quite a good idea.  I may try my hand at a few next summer

maybe I'm justa city kid but.....its justa PIECE OF WOOD ! Dig a fuckin hole and throw some wood in, look its a campstove....WTF.

Be very careful trying to plunge your chainsaw into the end grain of a log like that. Lots of potential for a kickback there.
