Hi ya'll, Yep I am the 3-gun gal. And yes MommaSheep it does take 3 guns or more to be a 3-gunner. My big regret in life is that I played softball instead of discovering guns at a much younger age cause then I would have kicked butt. But I am living proof that you can be old, female, a little out of shape and still love and enjoy shooting 3-gun competitions, you don't have to be like 20 or 30, I can only wish.
I love the figuring out the stages for three guns. Pistol is boring after shooting 3-gun, and while I may not be fantastic at it, I love every minute of it. And girls the guys think it is really cool that a girl is out there doing it, they don't care how you shoot just that you are there. Most women think it is too complicated but it really isn't. And since I love long guns it is what I do best. If more women would try it and there are getting to be more, they might really enjoy it. Okay the biggest requirement is to have a husband like I have, bless his big heart, that keeps all my guns running and loads all my ammo. While I get all the food, clothes and house together he does all the gun stuff. There are very few guys out there that have or will spend that kind of time keeping 6 guns up and running. Our guns usually run flawlessly, fine tuning is his specialty and he loves watching me shoot 3-gun. He even paints my guns, cause I don't shoot an ugly gun. What a guy Mark Anglin is and has me spoiled with great triggers and having all my equipment in top notch shape and spending time with him doing something we love. More of you, girls and guys should do 3-gunning, it ROCKS!!
