I has experience with the CCI 450' that I understand are very similar to the 41's
I've shot a shit ton of factory 556 ammo this was loaded it, at least I think it was.

Whats the question?

 Thought about trying some, were there any differences in your load using the military Primers #41.
Are these over runs from military orders?

I've used about 20k of the #41's. My notes show an average difference of 6fps between the #41 and the 400 primers with one powder and 32fps between the two with another powder. The 400's are the higher of the two in both instances. Of course, this is my experience with two particular powders and these two primers. YMMV

My 55fmj load was worked up with multiple brands of brass, primers and bullets. I also chose two popular, generally obtainable powders. The goal was to produce safe, accurate, inexpensive, obtainable, progressive press friendly ammo for contact to 300 yardish work.

If you choose to use the #41's, work up a load with them as usual and you will be good to go.

I wouldn't pay a premium for them.

I can't speak to the military over-run question.

Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Use the same load data as magnum primers and as Rg says not worth the premium price. FYI I use Magnum primers for all my simi autos.

From CCI Web site

Military-style semi-auto rifles seldom have firing pin retraction springs. If care is not used in assembling ammunition, a “slam-fire” can occur before the bolt locks. The military arsenals accomplish this using different techniques and components—including different primer sensitivity specifications—from their commercial counterparts. CCI makes rifle primers for commercial sale that matches military sensitivity specs that reduce the chance of a slam-fire when other factors go out of control*. If you’re reloading for a military semi-auto, look to CCI Military primers.
*Effective slam-fire prevention requires more than special primers. Headspace, chamber condition, firing pin shape and protrusion, bolt velocity, cartridge case condition, and other factors can affect slam-fire potential.

USAGE:

    * Military-style semi-automatic rifles
    *  Mil-spec sensitivity
    * Initiator mix optimized for ball/spherical propellants
    * Available in large (No.34) and small (No. 41) rifle
    * Use the same data as CCI Magnum primers

Small Rifle 400 For most standard loads in cases requiring small rifle primers.

450 Mag Magnum primer for ball propellants.

No.41/5.56MM Military small rifle primer with NATO sensitivity.

BR4 Benchrest small rifle primer for critical accuracy needs.
